Scholarships

Scholarship Information & Applications
There are many post-secondary scholarship opportunities available through various organizations. Contact Nikki Bergan or Becky Morrow if your student qualifies and would like more information and an application.

For scholarships awarded through the the LeRoy-Ostrander Scholarship Committee, please contact Melanie Welsh.

Testing
Students planning to attend a four year college need to take the ACT or SAT. Most of our students choose the ACT, the preferred test for the colleges in the Midwest. Juniors are recommended to test in April or June. LeRoy-Ostrander's school code is 241-360. You can register on line at http://www.actstudent.org or pick up a pamphlet at the high school office where you can also get practice tests.  This spring all Juniors will be given the ACT here at LeRoy-Ostrander as part of the Minnesota State Standards.

NCAA Registration
Students who are interested in playing in a sport in a Division II or Division 1 college need to register with the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association). There are certain high school requirements that have to be met in order to be certified with the NCAA and to be able to play at the higher level. Check with the guidance office to get a NCAA Guide and information on what high school classes are needed.
