8th & 9th Graders Attend Consortium Career Fair
LeRoy-Ostrander 8th and 9th graders participated in the Career Fair on Friday morning, March 13th held at the Southland High School, hosted by LeRoy-Ostrander, Southland, Grand Meadow, Glenville, & Lyle high schools. The purpose of the Career Fair was to help our students develop a better understanding of potential career paths.
The format consisted of three career field representatives presenting a 15-20 minute summary of their occupation. Careers that were represented are: Cosmetology, Military, Law Enforcement, Cosmetology, Athletic Training, Criminal Justice, Ag Business, Human Services, Dietician, Nursing, News Broadcasting, Vet, Child Care, Nursing, Collision Repair, Diesel, Construction, Education, Financial Advisor, Auto Services, etc.
The students also visited with the various presenters at a booth to gain more information about careers that interest them. At the end of the morning there was a student panel from Riverland talking to the students about preparing for college and the work force.

Friday - NO SCHOOL
FFA members had fun writing Easter Cards to our area men and women serving in the Armed Forces. This is an event that the L-O FFA Chapter does each year.
