Welcome to 6th Grade!

My name is Ryan Evans, and I am very excited for the opportunity to spend this school year with an incredible group of 6th grade students!

2020-21 will be my first year as a teacher at LeRoy-Ostrander Public School.  I will also coach Junior High Football and Varsity Boys Basketball here in LeRoy.  Previously, I served as the Executive Director of the KM Nursery Group and as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher, Junior High Football and Baseball coach, and JV Boys Basketball Coach at NRHEG Public Schools.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Great Falls in Great Falls, MT.  I recently received my teaching certificate in Early Childhood Special Education from MSU-Mankato and will complete my master's in Special Education within the year.  In addition, I have completed several master's credits towards a counseling degree from Crown College.  I am a life-long learner and can't wait to instill the love of learning in my students as well!

A little bit about me as a person...I grew up in a small Montana town called Conrad with my parents and two older brothers.  I came to Minnesota to attend Northwestern College and met my wife there, who is a farm kid from Dodge Center.  My wife Diana and I now have five beautiful daughters ages 4-15 years.  We currently live in Blooming Prairie but are hoping to relocate to the LeRoy area soon!  My hobbies include coaching, playing, and watching sports; raising tortoises (we have three!); biking; gardening; going to concerts; collecting vintage toys and video games; and going on adventures with my family!  I love to have fun!

Getting to know my students and their families is one of my favorite parts of teaching, so never hesitate to e-mail or give me a call!
