Community Members – The LeRoy-Ostrander School Board is looking for volunteers from the community to join a facilities taskforce. The goal of the taskforce, initially, would be to provide a recommendation on the school’s HVAC system moving forward. The taskforce may also look at school security and future daycare options.
The taskforce will include people from the LeRoy and Ostrander communities with a background in one of the following defined areas: business owners, agricultural fields, staff, parents, EDA, City Council members, HVAC (mechanical, electrical, etc), current board members, and financial fields. The taskforce will meet 4-6 times during January and February to investigate the school’s current state and learn about HVAC systems. The taskforce will be facilitated by a consultant. Each meeting may last 2-3 hours and will be evening meetings. People applying should be able to make these commitments.
The School Board is planning on finalizing the taskforce from the list of applicants at its December 20 meeting. Applicants should list their name, contact information (both phone and email contacts), background and expertise and why they are interested in the taskforce. Applicants should send their information to Sheryl in the district office by December 14 at noon.
